Melting Chocolate Fudge waffles

How it’s done

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, butter and vanilla, and beat until light, about 2 minutes.
  2. Blend in buttermilk, then flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
  3. Gently fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Turn on the waffle maker and wait until the temperature light is illuminated.
  5. Spray both waffle plates with oil (or use a brush) then pour approximately 75 ml of batter evenly onto the centre of the plate and close the lid without closing the clasp.
  6. Cook for around 4 minutes.
  7. Delicious served with warm chocolate sauce, ice cream, mini marshmallows and some berries.

  • 60gchopped walnuts
  • 85gdark chocolate chips
