Homemade Burgers

How it’s done

  1. To make the burgers, add the mince to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Finely grate or chop the onion, gherkin and garlic (this can be done in a food processor) and add to the mince.
  3. Add the hot sauce, ketchup, mustard and parsley to the beef and season well with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix everything together well until completely incorporated and divide into 4 equally sized pieces, approximately 150g each.
  5. Form into patties either by hand or you can press into a pastry cutter.
  6. Cook on the preheated grill for approximately 5 minutes depending on how you like your burger cooked.
  7. Serve with toasted buns, lettuce, sliced onions, tomatoes, gherkins and your choice of sauces.
